Minneapolis Police are looking for a man who they say was involved in a hit-and-run that took place Wednesday night.
Police say the incident occurred near the corner of Lyndale Avenue South and 24th Street in South Minneapolis at about 6 p.m.
Witnesses told police that the victim, Matt Call, 23, of Minneapolis, was thrown 20 to 30 feet in the air after he was struck while getting into his vehicle.
“This could have killed him,” friends said.
Call has two broken femur bones and other injuries, police said. Call is listed in serious condition at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Police said they are looking for a white man who was driving a black Jeep Cherokee with gray trim. Officials said the SUV will have damage to the front passenger side.
“We would like anyone with information give us a call,” said Sgt. William Palmer.
